Last weekend I was triggered by a message I received giving me advice on what I could do to conceive. Have you ever been on the receiving end of that? 

 

During my 7 year wait and journey through infertility, I received a lot of unsolicited advice... my favorite: "just relax and it'll happen" IYKYK 

 

Unwanted advice, usually from those who have never struggled to conceive, can be triggering. When we are triggered, our frustration and anger can grow quickly while offense takes over our hearts. 

 

So what do we do?

 

God's word calls us to tender-heartedness, and kindness towards others. Our pain, our waiting season does not entitle us to an offended heart and the reactions of one.
